Welcome to the GBC Volunteer Squad! Sharing your time to help us welcome new and returning students back to campus is the greatest gift and we are grateful for your contribution and commitment! The Student Life team wants to do our best to ensure every student feels supported and connected to the GBC community each semester and we can’t do it without you.

All volunteers will be invited to an in-person mandatory orientation training session at Waterfront Campus on August 22nd. The day of the orientation, we will be doing a quick tour for everyone, to get familiar with the campuses. We will go over the different roles and duties associated with them, provide an overview of the orientation days, and get you up to speed on what these events will look like and how you’ll be participating! This training will provide hands-on experience and information to equip volunteers with the necessary skills and knowledge you will require to volunteer with us during the orientation days.
You will be assigned a volunteer lead each day and they will be your primary contact throughout your volunteer assignments, including checking you in, assigning tasks and activities, ensuring you have breaks, and other guidance on each event day.
We’ll provide you with a free lunch each day, and a volunteer t-shirt.

Duties:
Service Fair + Directional, help with services, hand out popcorn, food, giveaways, set-up and break-down the area, assisting with directions and answering questions.
Tours - assist with tours of the campus to new and returning students.
Volunteer Squad Table: Having a chance to talk to students about volunteering, and how to get involved (those who have passed minimum 20 hours should sign-up for this opportunity)

September  Campus Days:
*Events run from 11 AM each day to 3 PM, but volunteer shifts will be starting earlier.

Food will be provided to volunteers and Volunteer Orientation T-shirt.
