
Pink Light
Pink Light is a celebrated 11-minute short film written by and starring former professional hockey player Harrison Browne. The film follows Scott, an injured transgender ex-pro hockey player who flashes back to his pre-transition past during a beer-league game, offering a unique, touching look at trans excellence, perseverance, and joy in sport.

Description of the event: Participating in sports can be a meaningful experience for many, offering belonging, community, and lifelong friendships. But for trans people, participating in sports can be fraught with prying questions, demeaning requests, and outright exclusion. This is why it’s especially important to celebrate trans excellence and joy in sport.Join Pride House Toronto for a special screening of Pink Light, a short film that tells the story of a former pro hockey player who time-travels to his pre-transition past. He finds his earlier self waiting for life to start only to discover he was already the person he'd become. After the screening will be a talkback with the team behind the film and a meet-and-greet opportunity with the cast.
